You are the first person a guest meets and the last one they thank. As Front of House Manager you own everything that happens on the floor at our San Diego room: the reservation book, the service standards, and a team of sixteen servers, runners, and hosts.
We're a busy restaurant, but we're not a chaotic one. We're looking for someone who leads a shift calmly and leaves the place better than they found it.
What you'll do
- Run the floor across dinner service, five shifts a week.
- Build the rota, manage labour cost, and keep the team's hours fair and predictable.
- Own the reservation book and the flow of the room, including a 40-seat terrace in season.
- Train new servers on our menu, our wine list, and how we handle a complaint.
- Work with the Head Chef so the kitchen and the floor are one team, not two.
What we're looking for
- Three or more years in a supervisory or management role in a full-service restaurant.
- Comfort with a POS and a reservation system; we use Toast and Resy.
- Genuine warmth. Standards matter, but so does the way you hold people to them.
